Database Middleware and Web Services for Data Distribution and Integration in Distributed Heterogeneous Database Systems

چکیده
As the database environment changing, database is no longer accessed only by using SQL to communicate with DBMS as in the two-tier client-server architecture. In modern enterprise distributed systems, applications are developed and deployed as components in n-tier architecture. Database system is integrated with related applications and can only be accessed via interfaces provided by the application server or middleware. Moreover, in most of the middleware systems such as CORBA, J2EE, and RPC, clients and servers are tightly-coupled and client applications can only invoke methods by using proprietary communication protocols. As a consequence, data integration is no longer achievable by applying existing database middleware systems. What we dealing now are not just different DBMS vendors, dialects of SQL, or variants of data models, but also heterogeneous interfaces and communication protocols defined in various distributed paradigms. In this paper, we propose ADIM, an autonomous data integration middleware, with WebService for data integration in heterogeneous environments.

For scientific collaboration, sharing data between different parties is fundamental. Grids, originally developed for high-performance and parallel computing, enable the sharing of distributed resources across institutional boundaries by providing a security infrastructure and standardized Grid-services. Because data is usually stored in different information systems and schemes, at the moment t...

Environmental monitoring and management systems in most cases deal with models and spatial analytics that involve the integration of in-situ and remote Geosensor observations. In-situ sensor observations and those gathered by remote sensors are usually provided by different databases and services in real-time dynamic services such as the Geo-Web Services. Thus, data have to be pulled from diffe...
متن کاملAccess control in ultra-large-scale systems using a data-centric middleware
The primary characteristic of an Ultra-Large-Scale (ULS) system is ultra-large size on any related dimension. A ULS system is generally considered as a system-of-systems with heterogeneous nodes and autonomous domains. As the size of a system-of-systems grows, and interoperability demand between sub-systems is increased, achieving more scalable and dynamic access control system becomes an im...

Open Grid Service Architecture Data Access and Integration (OGSA-DAI) is a middleware which aims to provide a unique interface to heterogeneous database management systems and to special type of files like SwissProt files. It could become a vital tool for data integration in life sciences since the data is produced by different sources and residing in different data management systems. With it,...
متن کاملData Collaborative Work Flow Model for Information Integration with the support of Web Services
In this paper, the author proposed a data collaborative work flow model with the support of web services. Nowadays, many E-Commerce businesses are relying on the data transmitted between businesses or their customers. In order to get the best value of data, the way of processing data is critical. So the author proposed a data collaborative work flow model with six stages (data fetching/transfer...
